Plan around an outdoor heritage visit. October–March opening is Tuesday–Sunday 10am–4pm, with last entry 30 minutes before closing; bank holidays follow normal hours. Some ground is cobbled or uneven. The route from the car park includes a steep hill, with a less steep alternative described in the access guide.
